PLAYGROUP PROGRAM
Age Group : 18 Months to 30 Months
Ado Playhouse’s Playgroup Program is designated to develop and reinforce each toddler’s individual needs. Children participate in sensory-based learning experiences, while receiving positive, nurturing guidance from a qualified teacher. Teachers assess an infant’s developing skills, and then provide activities designed to increase those skills.
Areas Of Development :
Emotional Skills :
Ado Playhouse assists toddlers with exploring all of their emotions, from joy to frustration. Children begin to gain the skills needed, such as patience, cooperation, and sharing to deal with all of their burgeoning emotions in a calm, supportive manner.
Social Skills :
Ado Playhouse strives to instill pro-social skills, also known as “People Skills.” We start with the toddlers becoming aware of their classmates and move on to encouraging simple sharing activities. Your child will be encouraged to wave goodbye and take turns stacking blocks. These simple activities are the stepping stones for the later preschool years, when children are developmentally ready to share.
Communication Skills :
Ado Playhouse’s caring teachers have a deep understanding of how toddlers communicate. They teach toddlers to put their wants and needs into words. Toddlers are encouraged to sing simple songs, recite nursery rhymes, and expand their vocabularies.
Fine Motor Skills :
Toddlers’ fine motor skills, which include finger and hand movements, need to be stimulated in many different ways in order for them to progress. Ado Playhouse offers a wide variety of fine motor skill activities for your toddler, from finger painting, to using a pincer grasp to pick up finger foods, to making and manipulating clay.
Gross Motor Skills :
Ado Playhouse focuses on all gross motor skills, which include batting at objects, kicking, walking and running. Toddlers are encouraged to bat at beach balls suspended from the ceiling to increase their jumping skills, as well as improve their hand-eye coordination. You might even see toddlers playing “Follow the Leader.”
Cognitive Skills :
Cognitive skills include thinking, learning, and the accumulation of knowledge. Ado Playhouse focuses on toddlers’ investigation of their environment. Your toddler will begin to sort toys by shape and colour and will be encouraged to identify facial features by reciting fun finger plays.

NURSERY 1 PROGRAM
Age Group : 3 Year Olds
Ado Playhouse’s Pre-Nursery Program is designated to help your three-year-old develop the social, emotional, self-help, and physical development skills necessary for future success. Although many academic concepts are introduced, the focus remains on each child’s development of an understanding of how she fits into her environment. Communication skills are a vital portion of the curriculum as children expand their vocabularies and assign meaning to new experiences.
Ado Playhouse inspires your child to examine, create, and share as he broadens his language through interactions with their teachers and classmates in a safe, nurturing environment. Sensory and repetitive activities transform these new experiences into knowledge. We also incorporates music, art, and dramatic play to encourage or shape your child’s creativity and imagination. Activities promote the development of physical skills, from running and jumping, to dressing and pre-writing.
Areas Of Development :
Emotional Skills :
Three-year-olds are experiencing a wide variety of emotions, much more than when they were infants and toddlers. Ado Playhouse guides the children to express their emotions in healthy and safe ways. Caring teachers will show children different ways to convey their emotions, from sadness and frustration to happiness and joy.
Social Skills :
“People Skills” are emphasized at Ado Playhouse. We start with your child becoming aware of the other children in the classroom and move on to encouraging the children to engage in group play. Your child will be encouraged to refer to her Ado Playhouse’s friends by name as well as engage in dramatic play activities, such as pretending to shop at the grocery store or acting out stories. These simple activities set the stage for the preschool years, when children’s social skills are more developed.
Communication Skills :
Between the ages of two and three, children’s vocabulary can grow to nearly 300 words. Ado Playhouse’s teachers provide children with the tools they need to communicate within their classroom by guiding them to put their desires into words. Children are encouraged to identify common objects and speak in three-to-five-word sentences.
Cognitive Skills :
Cognitive skills are the foundation of learning and knowledge. At age three, children’s cognitive skills are expanding quickly. Ado Playhouse challenges the children to become even more aware of their environment by asking questions and inviting them to solve problems. Teachers provide the children with many activities designed to encourage them to distinguish between textures, to identify shapes and colours, and to begin rote counting.
Physical Skills :
Ado Playhouse addresses both gross motor skills, which strengthen the large muscle groups of the body, as well as fine motor skills, which include the smaller finger and hand muscles. Children are prompted to climb, jump, hop, and run on the playground to strengthen their leg muscles. Three-year-olds don’t realise they are bolstering their fine motor skills in the Creative Arts Room, but they do know that they are having fun finger painting, making collages, colouring with sidewalk chalk, and creating with clay.
Character Education :
Ado Playhouse believe it’s important to introduce children a wide variety of character traits. Each month, a value, such as honesty or responsibility, is introduced to your child throughout the program activities. Your child might sing a song about responsibility, as well as be encouraged to clean up after lunch. These simple activities enable him to better understand the society we live in and how to interact successfully with others.
Self-Help Skills :
Ado Playhouse is full of activities designed to empower three-year-olds. Children’s independence will increase as they are introduced to fundamentals of hygiene and they accomplish basic self-help tasks, such as pouring juice into a cup during snack time and putting on their jackets and shoes. Teachers provide the children with many opportunities to master these tasks, because repetition is vital when it comes to learning a new skill.
